This class is dedicated to everyone who’s interested in Levantine music and the cultural and technological changes in Bilad Ash-sham. It doesn’t require previous knowledge in music or music performance.
يتوجّه هذا الصف إلى جميع المهتمّين/ات بالموسيقى وتاريخها في بلاد الشام والمنطقة، ولا يتطلّب أي معرفة مسبقة بالموسيقى المشرقية أو نظرياتها. وهو مفتوح أيضاً لكل من يرغب ببساطة في فهم كيف تُكتب الذاكرة في الصوت، وكيف يُكتب التاريخ من خلال ما نسمعه… ومن خلال ما يغيب عنه
me’zaf is a musical cultural initiative
مِعْزَفْ هي مبادرة موسيقية ثقافيّة
me'zaf's main focus is the authentic music of the Levant and the world, trying to create research projects and musical activities that can reintegrate this music in our current scene, not as a museum product, but as a contemporary creation tool.
تهتم مِعْزَفْ بشكل أساسيّ بالموسيقى الأصيلة في المشرق والعالم، محاولةً خلق مشاريع بحثيّة وأنشطة موسيقيّة لإعادة تقديم هذه الموسيقى في الساحة الثقافيّة، لا كمنتج متحفيّ، بل كآداة للخلق المعاصر
